What should I expect in a lesson?
Your activities will be analyzed first, from sitting down, to walking, to playing a musical instrument, to lifting. Through directing hands and verbal instruction, you are guided to release the faulty habits that have placed the stresses on your body that cause physical pain. In addition, table work is used to free you of your deepest tension habits and pain quickly.
What makes the Alexander Technique different from other rehabilitive movement therapies?
We focus on how you do an activity, so that you do not damage your body. In other words, it isn't enough to just walk, we teach you how to walk with ease and balance, so there is no wear and tear on the bones and muscles.

My sessions are one hour long. Most Alexander Technique teachers give 45 minute sessions. I do everything I can to teach the client how to get out of physical trouble and stay out of trouble as quickly as possible. So, I have a wide range of how many sessions my clients take. It varies usually from 3 to 20 appointments.
How long was my Alexander teacher training?
I trained for 3 years at The American Center for the Alexander Technique in New York. My training consisted of 1,600 hours, so that I could learn to fully embody what I teach the client.
